I couldn’t help myself

So, I started TCM…. I was just itching to begin, even though I’m not as far through the planning as I might have liked. I will fill in all the holes as I go. It feels good though, to be writing something new!!

I’m not far in at all, but I feel great for having written those first words.

Hubby should be home any minute now. Lauren is asleep. I’m going to make good use of the time I do have though.

Oh and CP has awarded my credits through Critters! Yay. I should be able to submit Night Ride to the queue tomorrow and woo. Just WOOO.

  1. Good Luck with the new project. That’s always so exciting. Maybe share the opening paragraph with us. I’m such a sucker for opening paragraphs… my favorite part of *most* books.

  2. That’s great to be starting on a new project! I know I keep getting ideas for other stories and I jot them down when they’re fresh in my head, even though I won’t be able to devote any time to them until I’m done with this current one (one keeps haunting me though…the story of my current MC’s grandmother, and she keeps harassing me :P)

BTW, I tagged you on my blog for a meme. Don’t feel like you have to fill it out though!

  3. Dara – lol funny how characters can be so persistent huh?

Ken – your comment made me think back to all the other things I’ve written, and I’ve discovered that I have a tendency to lead with conversation. Only one of the four novels I’ve written begins with a descriptive paragraph, and that’s a sequel. This novel starts with dialogue as well and now I’m trying to think if other books I’ve read that do that. Hmm, this has got me thinking now.

Dizzymum – thanks! definitely is exciting to get started, lol now to carry it on.
