Happy Mother’s Day

Here in NZ it’s Mother’s Day, and so I just wanted to give a shout out to all those wonderful, beautiful, creative, brilliant mother’s who visit my blog.

I hope you are all having a great day, and that your families know just how lucky they are to have you in their lives. You are a blessing to them, and to me, and I feel really privileged to know you all. It’s been wonderful getting to know other writers who are also mothers. It’s given me inspiration and really boosted my drive knowing that we can be great mothers and still pursue our writing passionately.

So even if it’s not Mother’s Day for you, I’m sending you a little bit of love.

I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, and I didn’t have to cook it, which was wonderful. Later on we’ll be heading out and getting my present, yay! I’m indulging a little more than I normally would, and you know what? I feel really good about that!

In other news: I wrote last night, for the first time in days. It felt fantastic, and I felt like the writing was pretty good as well! Better than it has been. I read back a little way and really liked what I wrote at the end of my last writing session. It feels wonderful to think that I’m coming up out of my lazy writing and making some progress. I’ve been wondering a little whether I’ve actually improved at all during the last year, but now I am confident I have – I just haven’t had the energy to show it.

Anyways, back to the grind! Lots to do around the house today.

  1. This is your first mother’s day with Lauren, so it must be an extra special one. I hope it was a happy one for you.

  2. I’m glad you had a great day too! Good to hear the writing is working again. It is hard, writing with a little one; you don’t have the luxury of uninterrupted thought that you used to.

But they are worth every frantic moment ๐Ÿ™‚
