The revolving door of sickness

We seem to have one… you know, I hardly ever got sick when I didn’t have kids, but between Ivy’s pre-school and Hubby’s work, there always seems to be some kind of bug in the house. Strangely, we only seem to get half strains of sickness rather than full-on ones, which is wonderful really.

I can’t think back to a time when there wasn’t a runny nose in the house though. I’m sooooo looking forward to warmer weather and less sickness, it’s not like its enough to warrant anyone staying home or being confined to bed, but the fact that there is someone feeling not quite on form pretty much all the time can get wearying for me. Ah, a mother’s work is never done, right? I could certainly do without the headaches, the coughing and the blocked and/or runny nose, and yes it’s entirely possible to have both at the same time.

I managed to write up my post on the latest reading over at the e-fiction book club last night, I really enjoyed the serial and will be adding it to my growing list of things to keep reading. I think that’s probably the main down-side to serials is that it’s easy to fall behind and sometimes hard to catch back up again. I know I still haven’t read one of Tama‘s datastreams for Agents Provocateurs, and as much as I want to go back and read it, I can never seem to find the time.

    1. Same here, but it’ll probably be a few years before Cassie has a sniffle-free winter again. Little kids do that, unfortunately.

  1. Yep, baby + daycare/school = house full of bugs! Oh the fun πŸ™‚

Go you on the reading and reviewing. I just started it yesterday, and I’m pleasantly surprised at the quality.
