and into the weekend

Friday was a success. I got my chapter done, I wrote just under 1k fresh words on Snow white, I danced, I read, I sang, I gardened. Bliss.

Not entirely sure whether it was a combination of all those things that meant for one very happy Cassie, but I could pinpoint for sure that I felt my mood improving exponentially after I managed to do some fresh writing. It’s highlighted for me once again how important it is for me to get some new words down. Editing is good and all, and very important, but it’s the new words, that fresh writing buzz which really keeps me going.

And now it’s the weekend, and I’m not sure what to expect from it. We don’t have a lot planned, but things always seem to crop up. I’m hoping to get the vege garden done at some point, but I still need to get some seedlings (way too lazy to go for the so so cheap option of seeds, so I go for the next best thing). I’d love to finish off Snow White, get another two chapters edited, and finish critting some chapters for a friend as well – but I’ll take what I can get πŸ˜‰

Anyways, the baby sleeps, and it’s almost time to get Ivy to dance class. Sans husband and babe, I’m thinking I’ll sneak across the road to the cafe at the art gallery and get myself an industrial strength caffiene hit. Mummy is well overdue for a little treat.

  1. New words. How true. I took a vacation, got some exciting news, did a mass of edits, and today, finally, got back to writing my new book. My schedule is shot to pieces but at least I’m back on the road and getting somewhere.

    1. Hi πŸ™‚ Thanks for stopping by!
A vacation sounds nice, as does exciting news. It’s great that you’re settling back into the new book now.
