Stop the train, I wanna get off!

I had such a flat day yesterday, was feeling so good til the afternoon when I finally got a chance to sit down and start reading and it hit me that I really didn’t want to read. Oh, I do NOT want to read, I just want to be finished.

While I know that this final read through is important, that this is my last chance to spot anything amiss before I start submitting, I’m chomping at the bit to be done with it. Which means that I’m not reading – not because I’m not going to, but because that is absolutely not the right frame of mind for double checking my work. This read IS important, and as such, I need to be able to focus on it properly in order for it to be effective.

So I read up about queries instead, started putting some thought into that and then finished adding blurbs to my works in progress page. They aren’t great, but at least each novel/novella has one now. It’s a start and gave me some practice.

What does today have in store? I really need to write up my comments on The Vector for the efiction book club, ย and I think I’m going to try and finally finish off Snow White, it’s been hanging there in limbo for a few weeks now and I know I’ll feel better having ticked it off the list, I keep wanting to do it and then putting it off some more, despite the fact that I’m SO close… so today, I’ll try harder. I really need something to perk me up a little.

Hope everyone else has a great day ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m thankful it’s friday.
