I can still do this

So, I’ve had three days off writing… I just have not been in the right place to get anything done and when I tried last night all I wanted to do was sleep! Yesterday afternoon when I normally would have written I slept, because I was up most of the night with a sick baby.

I’m way behind where I should be with NaNo, but the story has been the furthest thing from my thoughts which are naturally consumed with baby stuff and all the things that need doing between now and then.

Today though, I need to get back in the game. I need to put my head down and get back into the story, three days away is far too much, and I’m going to have to write 2k a day every day for the rest of the month in order to make it. I had hoped that nothing big would come up until later on, but I knew November would throw me a curve ball – it always does!

    1. LOL omg, you totally make me think of WoW when you use terms such as ‘incoming’.
Speaking of which, I had decided I would play sometime in the near future… but I may not get a chance now! lol Maybe I should reactivate my account, max my levels and then I won’t be so far behind after the next expansion comes out…
Trying not to stress anyways though, baby is asleep now so I will get on with some writing and see how it goes!

    1. hehe a break can be a good thing, but I’m very much bordering on the – yeah, if I don’t write now I may not write again for the rest of the month – phase of things. Morning sickness is rough, this first trimester is rough, but I must prevail!

  1. I’m just glad I didn’t sign up for NaNoWriMo myself – this month has been something of a big fat failure – I’d need to be doing 3K a day from here on in to hit the target.

  2. I hope things are getting easier for you writing wise. Having a sick little one at night and then morning sickness as well sounds tough. I’m finding that November is coming up with a whole bunch of unexpected chaos to interrupt my writing habits too (although none as big and exciting as a having a baby on the way).

  3. Every month been throwing me curve balls as far as writing time is concerned! I thought with first trimester ending things would have stabilized…not yet…grr…
Here’s hoping for healthy little ones to both of us!
    And some great writing time!
