I can breathe again

The funeral is over, and I feel like such a huge weight is gone. I find that when I hear about a death it’s like I’m holding my breathe all the way til the funeral, then once I’ve had that closure I can let it out and get some fresh air again. It’s a relief.

Lauren slept for the duration of it which worked out perfectly, though she looked like she’d been sweating heaps after from having salty tears falling on her hair. I’m pleased I was able to make it.

And I started writing last night. Only about a hundred words, but it was nice to get them down there. I am going to try and get some more done tonight though I am still exhausted (Got to sleep in til 430am though! lol funny how nice that seems after being awake from 230am…).

Father Jones’ first name is Vincent, for those interested. I did a little reverse psychology on him when he wasn’t being clear about what story he wanted written and he came up with the goods, much to my relief.

Anyway, time to get Ivy from school. Hope everyone else is having a great day!

  1. I’m so glad you’re feeling better got more sleep! My MC’s father whispered his secret to me on the tram this morning and suddenly my first story is coming together. Relief indeed!

  2. Well, it’s good to hear that the funeral is behind you because I know they’re hard to get through. Hopefully Lauren will start letting you get some more sleep soon!

  3. Good to hear you got some rest. Funerals can be difficult. I’m really sad to hear what you have been going through, as I consider you a friend.

Life always finds a way to bring us back.

    1. it does, indeed. Don’t you be sad too though, I’ve done enough of that for all of us I think! lol. While funerals can be difficult, I really appreciate them for the closure they give. Always a worthwhile thing to attend, for all concerned.
