Urg, arg

I’m sick. Oh so sick. It’s not pretty, or fun. When my husband came home to drop Ivy off from school yesterday he even told me I looked like terrible. Awesome! I haven’t dared to drive in two days because I feel so dizzy and I will not put my kids at risk.

As a result, very little has been done. Other than that I am now two episodes away from finishing Dexter season 4. Lauren has been sick for a week now, Natalie is also sick and I’ve had my arms very full – more so than usual, in fact they ache from carrying around 18kgs of children non-stop. I think they are getting thinner tho, so that’s a bonus, and I haven’t been eating a lot so that should help with losing some pregnancy weight right? lol gotta look on the bright side!

I’m going to have to put off my goals from this week and start again next. I simply couldn’t write, though I did a little editing work on this weeks story it is not ready for submission.

Sometimes life gets in the way. Sometimes we get sick and stuff just can’t happen. I’m certainly not going to beat myself up over it.

Hope everyone else is free from illness and feeling great 🙂

  1. Sometimes sickness is the body’s way to tell us to slow down, but I do wish you and your babies well very very soon. Love and hugs being sent out to you!

    1. Thanks Karen, sadly, the body can try and tell me to slow down as much as it wants, there is simply no stopping with three kids tho! I feel like I’m getting better anyway, which is the main thing.

  2. I hope you feel better soon!! Must be spring – Most-scariest-of-all-daughters 4 yr old son (the middle child) had kidney infection for a week – then Beck woke up vomiting and so did he! Hoping other two don’t get it. Beck so dizzy can’t hardly stand and Caeds puking everywhere all the time. Oh the joy.

Rest and get well – everything will still be there when you are well. (that’s the joy of parenthood!!)
    *hugs*

    1. Thanks Linda. It does seem to happen, really hard to stop the bugs from spreading. Hubby is down with it now, Ivy seems to be the only one who has escaped this round! Lucky her 🙂

  3. Awwww, friend! That doesn’t sound fun at all. 😦 FEEL BETTER!!!! If I lived in the same hemisphere, I’d try to come help out. Rest up, and I hope you all get better really soon. 🙂

    1. Thanks Anna! it seems to be one of those ‘several stages’ sickness, it’s moving through different parts of my body, but I think it’s on the last stretches now. A couple more days and I should be all better.

    1. We’re allowed to get sick, we’re just not allowed to complain about it, stay in bed for hours on end, or stop doing everything else we would do when we’re not sick 😉

  4. Aww! I hope you get all better! Christa had a cold recently, and gave it to me, but now I’m over it. Must be something going around. Do you read alot more when you are sick?

    1. I seem to watch more rather than read more. But certainly do a lot less housework and other stuff… it’s going to take me days to get the house back in order I think! lol

  5. oh no no no! I hope by now it’s passed! how are the little ones>?

since my last post of being ill, we’ve had pink eye and another round of colds. aghhhh. the baby has it now, with a big stuffy nose, so we’re not sleeping. I hope you are!!!!!!
