A new look (again)

It wasn’t that long ago that I changed my theme and header, but I saw the latest theme out (Chateau) and had a feeling it was just what I needed. I’ve decided that it’s time to start presenting a unified front across the web, and this is where it all starts.

Back when I first started blogging I made a green header, with leaves and dew on them. I loved the simplicity of that one, the lush color, and so decided to return to something similar. I browsed through my recent photos and spotted one of a white and pink tiger lily from my garden, and decided to see what I could do with it. I love what I’ve got now – am still stunned that the sparkle on the petals came through in the image, I adore the colours, the play of light and dark – and I think that simplicity suits me.

Now, I just need a new author photo, and a few different length bios saved in one place for easy access when I make submissions, and to update things across the web…

Have I forgotten anything? What else is essential for an author to have?

I’m pretty sure I’ll stick with this for awhile. Though, WordPress are always bringing out new themes and it is so easy to get tempted πŸ˜‰

  1. Your header is gorgeous! I thought the sparkle was some photoshop effect.

I love this theme too. I’m not crazy about the tags being so prominent, but I can live with it. As soon as I have the time to create a new header, I’ll move into my Chateau.

    1. Looking forward to seeing your Chateau, Linda! It’s a lovely theme.

And no, not an effect – really was thrilled that the photo came out like it did. I wouldn’t know how to add sparkles to save myself πŸ˜‰

    1. It was a good banner, that green one. I had it for a long time. Hoping to keep this one for a long time too! I like it more every time I look at it πŸ™‚
      Hope you are doing well!
