Cover Reveal – Serafina’s Flame

I am thrilled to share my newest cover with you all. Behold! (Really, it is so gorgeous, it deserves to be beheld). Leigh, over at Dwell Design has really knocked it out of the park with this one.

Now, I can hear you questioning – what is this book? We’ve heard nothing about it. Not a peep! You have, actually… you just know all the parts of the book as Burn, Flare, and Ignite.

When I first published Burn I thought it was a standalone novella, but then so many of my readers wanted more that I committed myself to writing more of Carmel, more of Serafina, completing the Maiden, Mother, Crone aspect of things*.

Flare followed, focusing on Vana, the mother, and then Ignite was born, following Aida, my maiden. But by the time I’d written those stories I realized they weren’t three novellas, not really, they were all just different parts of one continuous story.

And so I decided to find a new title and combine them all into one book. A novel told in three parts, from three different characters – don’t ask my how I’m going to write a blurb for that, I am not looking forward to it in the slightest!

What I AM looking forward to is finishing the edits on Ignite and compiling this thing into a finished book. It’s been a long time in the making, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

*My original plan was for other stories set in the same world, and I still hope to write those some day!

Cover Reveal – Sun-Touched

Well, it’s almost ready for release, so I thought it was about time to reveal the cover for my upcoming book. Here it is!

SunTouched_ECover_10-8-15v2Madea knows the price that must be paid when Diamara’s harsh sun leaves you Touched: you are Hollowed, your inner self stripped away, leaving a mindless shell. As aide to the brilliant Sullivan, Madea has assisted at a few of these procedures, but it’s not until she witnesses the Hollowing of a young woman much like herself that Madea begins to question the ethics of their work.

Caught in a struggle she didn’t know existed, Madea finds herself pregnant, and over-exposed. She doesn’t know how long until the madness sets in, but she does know what it will mean for her and her unborn child.  No life at all.

Madea must turn from those who would Hollow her—friends, family, lover—as well as the protective rules she has clung to her whole life, to the enigmatic stranger, Garrett. He is the only one who can help her now, but he might also be the one who made her Touched to begin with.

Burn – Cover Reveal

So, next month I’m releasing my second novella!

Burn was originally written a few years ago for a specific market, but due to assignment stress I somehow managed to submit my assignment instead of the novella (thankfully, I ALSO submitted my assignment to my lecturer lol)… It is my grandest stuff up as a writer to date. It gutted me at the time, though I can definitely see the humour in it now 😉

Anyway, it’s a story I love, and I’m super excited to get it out into the world. I know some will say it’s a strange move to publish something so different to my first release, but I love writing in a range of genres, and I want my books to reflect that.

No parent should outlive their children.  But what if you do?  What if your son’s dying wish is to be burnt in the manner of his people — a people he was taken from as a child?

Carmel must gather her orphaned grandson and her son’s corpse, and ease her aching bones into the long walk that takes her where she needs to be.  The footsteps of the past nag at her heels as she journeys to once again look upon the face of the Goddess.
