And the kitchen installation begins this evening. Or whenever Dad arrives anyways – he sounded like he hoped to get everything in, other than the bench top which will need a couple of sets of hands. But if there is time I am sure I can rustle some of those up! I had thought that it was just the base being built – old kitchen, uneven floors etc – but perhaps not!

Anyway… I finish rewriting the last paragraphs of Lifelines last night. Wasn’t sure I would get it done as I was feeling rather exhausted, but I pushed on all the same. I’m feeling much better about the ending now and will take another look at it tomorrow and polish it up before adding it to the rest of the novel.

Which means today it’s time to get started working on the synopsis! I have comprehensive chapter summaries from when I did the last read through, so am hoping that it won’t be too difficult. How have other people found the writing of your synopsis? Hard, easy, ugly, fun? I’m kind of looking forward to trying my hand at it, which I guess is a good thing ๐Ÿ˜‰

I better go and finish the housework for now though, never ends!

  1. Well done on rewriting your last paragraphs last night. I had the kitchen redone last year and well remember the exhaustion – every time I do any renovations I swear they will be the last I ever do. ๐Ÿ™‚

I found synopsis writing to be both hard and fun. I ended up writing one that was way too long at first and then went through an extensive cutting it down process. It’s fun because you get to summarise and convey what you love about the story but hard because you have to be brutal about deciding what is essential story to summarise and cutting out everything else.
