Today you’ll find me…

Over at Amy Rose Davis’ blog with a guest post. Check it out! Other than a couple of interviews, I think this is my first proper guest post. Hope you enjoy it 🙂

I’d also like to say that YAY I tentatively finished my new structure/outline for MN WOOOOOO. I’m so excited about the shape of it now and am really looking forward to writing the new scenes and putting it all together.

Why on earth did I never do notes on the wall before? I’m applying it to the short stories I have been struggling with and it’s helping with those too! Hopefully this will result in a lot less floundering around 🙂

Have an awesome weekend everyone!

  1. I mean to comment yesterday when I read your guest post, but it slipped to today. I had my hubby read it too, great ideas you expressed, the liberty theme resonating with me! We saw a small show last night, a band the husband adores. 🙂 He bought a tour-only CD (his was #28 of 100), and when we got home, I noted how it was similar in idea to self-publishing, that freedom to just set one’s craft out for perusal. Earlier that day I brought up how musicians can self-publish, but don’t face the same stigma (for lack of a better word, no tea ingested yet so bear with me) as authors do; I wonder how long it will take for that to change? Publishing is altering as I type, liberty a hard bell to silence. I can’t wait to watch a new guard arrive!

    1. Thank you for the comment, Anna! I’m pleased you enjoyed the post 🙂 I really think that now is the perfect time to embrace the freedoms we have. I think the stigma’s against self publishing are definitely changing – these days so many indies have amazing cover work and well polished novels that it can actually be hard to tell whats traditionally published and whats not unless you go looking for it. And to be honest, a lot of the indie covers I am seeing are way cooler than the traditional ones! I guess because they know there is that barrier to overcome they work harder at it?
